Ingredients:

  • 85 ml lukewarm milk
  • 10 g fresh yeast
  • 30 g cane sugar or granulated sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 40 g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp ground vanilla
  • a pinch of salt

For brushing:

  • 30 g melted butter
  • 1 tbsp cane sugar or granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions:

Add 1 tsp of flour and 1 tsp of sugar to the lukewarm milk, crumble in the yeast, and let it rise. Place the flour in a bowl, add the sugar, salt, ground vanilla, and mix with a hand whisk.

Then add the soft butter, egg, and risen yeast, and knead the dough thoroughly by hand or with a mixer until it’s smooth and elastic. Cover with a cloth, let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size.

Once risen, turn it out onto a floured board, roll it out to about 1.5 cm thickness, cut out circles with a 6.5 cm diameter cutter, punch a smaller hole in the middle, brush with butter, line them up in the air fryer basket, and bake at 190 degrees Celsius for 6-7 minutes.

Once baked, brush one side with melted butter while still hot and dip in the sugar mixed with cinnamon.
