• 500g minced meat
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground paprika
  • 100g Gouda cheese
  • 3-4 hot dog buns
  • Optional toppings: fried onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise

  1. Season the minced meat with salt, pepper, cumin, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Place about a quarter or a third of the meat mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap (depending on how large you want the sausages to be) and flatten it thinly.
  3. Cut a few strips of Gouda cheese and place them in the center of the meat. Roll it tightly to form small sausages.
  4. Place the prepared cheese sausages in an air fryer and cook at 195°C (385°F) for 18 minutes or until golden brown. Cooking time may vary depending on the size of the sausages and your air fryer model.
  5. Assemble the hot dogs by placing the cheese sausage into the bun and topping with mayonnaise, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and fried onions according to your preference.
